She fell silently her hair flowed through the water in slow motion. She reached towards the light above screaming silent prayers. Time slowed as her heartbeat began ticking away the last life left. The darkness closed around her fragile frame like walls of darkened tears. She fought but water prevailed. Though her eyes were closed and her breath was gone, her spirit flowed on, moving slowly and peacefully along the river, the river of Dark Waters. Peace. |
